A shaving oil is just that, an oil used for shaving. The ideal shaving oil should be efficacious with blade and electric razors, as both a shave and pre-shave oil; it should not clog pores or razors, or coat shaving brush hair; it should not reduce the lathering, or clash with the scent, of your favorite shaving cream or soap.
