The QED Select 0326 shaving brush has a unique handle made from the highest quality resin. The hefty ergonomic design offers comfort and a secure grip and is highlighted handsomely with our Art Deco pattern to give it a modern flair. The black & white motif is a very common color combination, particularly in Art Deco interior design.
The brush's synthetic hair is composed of premium PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) fiber, sourced from BASF and processed at their Japanese facilities to improve softness and efficiency over previous nylon models. The main goal is to produce brushes that closely imitate the performance of natural badger hair, specifically Silvertip Badger. Despite the soft tips, the fibers possess a strong "backbone" (support and stiffness underneath the tips) and a densely packed, 26mm knot. This allows the brush to effectively build a rich, dense lather while still providing a good scrub. These bristles were not fabricated straight but slightly wavy, which helps to hold heat and water better than earlier, straighter generations of synthetic bristles. In this way, the problem of synthetic bristles retaining water was largely resolved. In addition, they are great for sensitive skin because they have a more natural feel on the face.
