About Babassu Oil: Babassu oil. It is much like coconut oil in that it comes from a palm fruit, is solid at room temperature, melts when it touches your skin, and contains the same vitamins and fatty acids. However, there are many aspects of Babassu that – in our opinion – make it a superior alternative to coconut, palm or olive oil: it's more lightweight (consequently less likely to clog pores); it soaks in faster; it has a mild, almost non-existent scent; it mixes better with other oils; it deeply moisturizes skin, is anti-microbial (helps prevent body odor) and provides a healthy amount of vitamin E which aids in cell regeneration; its lauric acid is naturally anti-inflammatory; it promotes healthy nails & cuticles.
