Vetiver Shampoo Bar : Perfect for those with dandruff or other scalp issues, and also works well for normal hair. Vetiver treats scalp ailments like psoriasis, eczema, and dandruff, as well as reduces scalp inflammation and protects scalp from becoming dry. In addition, Blood Orange essential oil has been added for its antiseptic and moisturizing properties. This bar also contains a unique combination of nourishing and softening oils and butters. Jojoba oil is a penetrating moisturizer that is similar to our hair’s own natural oils, and is rich in protein and minerals. Wheat germ oil is rich in vitamins A, B, E, and D, improving the health of your hair from it’s root, to it’s tip. Avocado oil is extremely rich in oleic acid and monounsaturated fats, making it one of few oils that can actually penetrate the hair shaft and moisturize your hair, rather than sitting on top and coating your hair. These fats also strengthen the hair shaft and help prevent breakage. A mix of olive and castor oil attracts moisture to the hair and is rich in vitamins, while cocoa butter and shea butter help to soften and moisturize. Coconut oil works to create an incredible lather, and palm oil ensures a long-lasting bar of soap. This truly versatile soap with its pronounced vetiver scent can also be used on the body. A manly-sized handmade bar that measures approximately 3½” x 2½” x 1” and weighs approximately 5 ounces. This soap is hand-poured and rough-cut. This process naturally produces irregularities in shape and surface texture (characteristics of truly handmade soap) but does not diminish the efficacy of the soap. $9.95
TRANSITIONING TO ALL NATURAL SHAMPOO BARS: Many will not go through a transition period. For those that do, there may be a natural adjustment period depending on your hair type, your water and the hair products you previously used. All commercial shampoos will leave a build up on hair. Initially, our shampoo bars may not wash away this build up, causing hair to feel coated, heavy or waxy after the first few washes. In this case, use an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse; it helps by removing soap residue and mineral deposits from hard water. Mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 8 ounces of water. Pour through hair after shampooing and let it sit for a minute or two. Rinse well. The vinegar scent will not be noticeable after your hair drives. Most people are fine without an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse. Further details: About cold process soap
