Peppermint Shampoo Bar : Experience an amazing burst of energy with this uplifting shampoo bar. Most commercial shampoos contain harsh synthetics that ‘cleanse’ by stripping your hair of everything, including natural oils. That not only leaves your hair dry, unmanageable, and dull-looking, but it also contributes to dry, itchy, flaking scalp. Peppermint Shampoo Bar is good for all hair types. It contains: Peppermint and Eucalyptus essential oils which strengthen the hair follicles, improve the shine and overall health of the hair, and calm an itchy, inflamed scalp; Nettle essential oil which provide Vitamin C and minerals to produce stronger and healthier hair; and Horsetail essential oil which is high in minerals and constituents such as silica, which provide added nutrients to the hair and scalp. This extraordinary shampoo bar contains the fine base oils found in all QED Shampoo Bars. A truly versatile soap that can also be used on the body making it a superb all-over cleanser. A manly-sized handmade bar that measures approximately 3½” x 2½” x 1” and weighs approximately 5 ounces. This soap is hand-poured and rough-cut. This process naturally produces irregularities in shape and surface texture (characteristics of truly handmade soap) but does not diminish the efficacy of the soap. $7.95
TRANSITIONING TO ALL NATURAL SHAMPOO BARS: Many will not go through a transition period. For those that do, there may be a natural adjustment period depending on your hair type, your water and the hair products you previously used. All commercial shampoos will leave a build up on hair. Initially, our shampoo bars may not wash away this build up, causing hair to feel coated, heavy or waxy after the first few washes. In this case, use an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse; it helps by removing soap residue and mineral deposits from hard water. Mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 8 ounces of water. Pour through hair after shampooing and let it sit for a minute or two. Rinse well. The vinegar scent will not be noticeable after your hair drives. Most people are fine without an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse. Further details: About cold process soap
