Treat your hair to a handcrafted shampoo bar that not only cleanses, but also nourishes and softens as you lather. Most commercial shampoos contain harsh synthetics that ‘cleanse’ by stripping your hair of everything, including natural oils. That not only leaves your hair dry and unmanageable, but also dull-looking. This natural shampoo bar is created with hair-loving ingredients: coconut oil, organic palm oil, castor oil, avocado oil, organic jojoba oil, organic cocoa butter, and organic shea butter. Chamomile is infused into olive oil then added to the soap base to provide color enhancement and luster to blonde and light brown hair, making this shampoo bar particularly appropriate for light hair. Lavender essential oil is added to promote new hair growth and improve overall hair health. To get a good lather, rub the soap bar across your wet hair several times until the desired lather is achieved, then continue to gently massage hair and scalp to insure lather has covered entire head. You may want to let the lather sit on the head for a minute or so before rinsing thoroughly. What’s truly great about this soap is its versatility; it can also be used on the body and the face making it a superb all-over cleanser. A manly-sized handmade bar that measures approximately 3½” x 2½” x 1” and weighs approximately 5 ounces. This soap is hand-poured and rough-cut. This process naturally produces irregularities in shape and surface texture (characteristics of truly handmade soap) but does not diminish the efficacy of the soap. $7.95
TRANSITIONING TO ALL NATURAL SHAMPOO BARS: Many will not go through a transition period. For those that do, there may be a natural adjustment period depending on your hair type, your water and the hair products you previously used. All commercial shampoos will leave a build up on hair. Initially, our shampoo bars may not wash away this build up, causing hair to feel coated, heavy or waxy after the first few washes. In this case, use an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse; it helps by removing soap residue and mineral deposits from hard water. Mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 8 ounces of water. Pour through hair after shampooing and let it sit for a minute or two. Rinse well. The vinegar scent will not be noticeable after your hair drives. Most people are fine without an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse. Further details: About cold processed soap
