QED’s Dead Sea Mud Shampoo Bar was created for those with scalp conditions and those who would like to detox their hair and bring new life to their scalp. It removes dirt and cleanses your skin, while simultaneously infusing it with minerals essential to keeping your scalp and hair hydrated and moisturized. Its fragrant lavender, cypress, juniper and peppermint essential oils aid in detoxing and healing the scalp. The shampoo bar’s base contains the fine oils found in all QED Shampoo Bars. It also has mineral-rich Dead Sea Mud to nourish hair and scalp, and aloe gel to moisturize scalp and hair, soothe itchy irritated skin and promote hair growth. To get a good lather, rub the soap bar across your wet hair several times and then continue gently massaging hair and scalp to insure the lather has covered your entire head. You may wish to let the lather sit on the head for a minute or so before rinsing thoroughly. This soap is truly versatile; you can also use it on the body and the face. It is a superb all-over cleanser. A manly-sized handmade bar that measures approximately 3½” x 2½” x 1” and weighs approximately 5 ounces. This soap is hand-poured and rough-cut. This process naturally produces irregularities in shape and surface texture (characteristics of truly handmade soap) but does not diminish the efficacy of the soap. $7.95
TRANSITIONING TO ALL NATURAL SHAMPOO BARS: Many will not go through a transition period. For those that do, there may be a natural adjustment period depending on your hair type, your water and the hair products you previously used. All commercial shampoos will leave a build up on hair. Initially, our shampoo bars may not wash away this build up, causing hair to feel coated, heavy or waxy after the first few washes. In this case, use an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse; it helps by removing soap residue and mineral deposits from hard water. Mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 8 ounces of water. Pour through hair after shampooing and let it sit for a minute or two. Rinse well. The vinegar scent will not be noticeable after your hair drives. Most people are fine without an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse. Further details: About cold processed soap
