Adjustment ring on Vision razor

Non-Adjustable or Fixed Head Razor: Non-adjustable razors have a fixed blade angle and exposure. Selected by their manufacturers to be the most satisfactory exposure for the average gentleman's shaving needs, the fixed head razor is that which finds its way to most gentlemen's toilet. Its simplicity makes it the wisest choice for the novice removing the temptation to tinker with an exposure setting that cannot be appreciated without prior mastery of blade angle control.
Adjustable Razor: Turning the dial on the handle of an adjustable razor creates either a narrower or wider gap between the blade and the safety bar. The wider this gap, the more the blade edge is exposed to the skin and beard, providing a more aggressive shave that is particularly suitable for those with thick beards. Conversely, when tightening the adjustment and correspondingly reducing the gap between the blade edge and safety bar, there is a lesser blade exposure providing for a milder, less aggressive shave that is particularly suitable for those with light beards and delicate skin.
